Meow Meow Meow

I just wrote a great big post and I accidently closed it. Oh my goodness. Stupid Mac. Ok. Shortened version. Um, I'm exhausted. My two days off have been spent not sleeping. James was here until 6 am Monday morning. We stayed up all night listening to music and talking in my room. Then, we met up with him and went to Beamers Coffee Bar downtown, on Tuesday night. Shane and Dusty came before and after 20's and 30's and played NHL 2006 with Joy. At about 2 am, James and I went to Mac's, and when we were coming back there was a train, and instead of waiting for it, we went to his house, cos he lives on the opposit side of the tracks from us. I didn't think we'd be up that late, but, he didn't bring me home until 1:30 pm this afternoon. That was like almost 12 hours at his house. Holy cow. His parents got up at 6ish, and when they left for work they stuck their heads in to say hi. It was pretty awkward. James stays up all night a lot, since he doesn't have a job, but he doesn't have anyone else there. And never a girl. It was kind of funny. And he didn't introduce me or anything, so it was a little awkward. Who is this girl watching tv with our son, in her pajamas? He went to the top of the stairs when they left, and I could hear them talking about my shoes. Hehe, not sure why! Anyway. We mostly watching tv, and listened to music. Some of which was him playing. He played guitar for me for awhile, as well as piano. He 'wrote me a song' haha, on the piano. He just makes it up as he goes along. He's pretty good. I could listen to quitar and piano for hours on end and not get tired of it.

I kept making little comments along the lines of 'whenever you're tired, you can take me home.' I'm pretty good at staying up all night, but I kept thinking about having to work tomorrow. When he finally took me home I said I was going to hate him tomorrow, and that he'd basically kidnapped me. I wasn't planning on going to his house, and he wouldn't take me home despite my hinting. Not that I minded that much, it was fun.

His magic!! Oh my goodness. I've been hearing about it from Dave and Alex, and Kako was talking about it the other night, but I'd never seen any. He did a bunch for me this afternoon. He's soooo good!! It was all card tricks, and some of those were friggin impossible!! One of them, I picked a card, and then put it back in the deck. He split it and shuffled, with one half face down and one half face up, so they were all messed up. He cut the deck a couple times so I could see that they were messed up, and then he fanned the deck out, and boom... all the cards were face down except my card, the 7 of clubs, which was face up. What the heck!! In another, I was holding onto the queens of Hearts and Diamonds. He switched their order in my hands, and then he was like, which is one top and which is on the bottom, and when I looked, they were the aces of Spades and Clubs. What the heck!! I saw them as queens, and I never let go of them!! How did he do that?! He wasn't holding any other cards or anything, to switch with. He did a bunch with burying the 7, and it kept being the top card. Once he was like, "I'll even make it easy for you, I'll bend the card." So, he bent it, and stuck it in the middle. I could obviously see the bent 7 in the middle of the deck, and then he flicked the deck, and the top card bent up and there was the 7. Frig. I watched him like a hawk the whole time, I have no idea how it was possible for him to do these things. I made him do the fanning one again, cos that was the craziest. But this time, I picked a new card, and stuck it in the middle of the deck. And then, without doing anything to the deck, he just fanned it out, and my card was face up. Impossible. Utterly impossible. I was getting really frustrated, but all he would say is "It's magic." Grr.

Anyway. Tomorrow should be an easy day at work, thank goodness, since I've only have 2 hours of sleep. This staying ap all night two nights in a row is crap.

Hannah Out.

At BP's (aka Boston Pizza)

After tons of trying and James' help, ta da!
friggin picture won't work. I'll do it later. And don't get me wrong, James is tons of fun, I'm not complaining. He brings candy.

And time marches on

Aloha. It's been a couple weeks, I guess. It's been insanely busy. Work has been busier the last two weeks than it was at Christmas. We've been working 6 days a week, and three days last week we had to stay past our 8 hours. It's so crazy and everyone is exhausted. Stupid Family Day weekend. At least it was a stat tho, and we got paid double time and a half. So something over 25 dollars an hour. :) It's also been busy doing stuff. Monday we had a desert pot luck, it was great! I made Mexican Wedding Cakes for the first time, everyone loved them :) They were great. We had over 20 people here, there was no where to sit, haha, so the 4 of us and Dave, Dave and Jody just hung out in the kitchen and everyone else socialized in the living room. Kind of funny, all those people there and we just hang out with our reg. group. Tuesday and Wed. was more hanging out with Dave, then Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, was James. That was kind of funny. James is a friend of Dave, Dave, and Jody, but we've never really hung out with him more than once or twice, and certainly not without the other guys. But, he went snowboarding on Wed. with Rach, and then he came in after they got back, and just stayed. Until 12:30 am, haha. It was really fun tho. We went to BP's for supper, (see picture) and then we watched Dumb and Dumber. Can you believe that's the first time I've seen it?

Friday he called came over at like 11pm, with us all having to work the next day, and we watched Domino. Good movie. James doesn't have a job, so he can stay up all night and not worry about it. All he does is going to Calgary and play gigs. He's a guitarist. Went to school in LA and everything.. lol. Anywho. He and Jody came over last night and we watched The Island. Excellent movie, I definitely recommend it. Very cool. Crap I forgot my food in the oven. Luckily it's not burnt. Phew. So anyway, the 4 of us keep joking about these guys we keep picking up. But, what guy wouldn'y want to come to our house? You're guaranteed the attention of 4 girls. Automatically. So, no wonder they like coming over here, hehe.

Speak of the devil, James just called. I'm here alone, but he's coming over anyway. haha

Tuesday, February 14

I'm sorry, but do you have any port?

Happy Singles Awareness Day.

Yesterday, Rachel McIntyre and I went to Calgary. She had an appointment with a guy from a school, and invited me along. We shopped for 7 hours. We went to Chinook, hit just about every store, and then got lost trying to find Deerfoot, haha. We ended up (I think) at Southland, so we were like, this mall is a good as any other :) I had my first Ikea trip. That store is so awesome :) It was great. Plus they have super cheap food, like hot dogs and cinnimon buns and things like that.

Then we had to figure out how to get to Dave's from there. Again, we got lost trying to find Deerfoot. Honestly. We drove thru like... serious industrial park of some sort. Then we found Dave's, and my cell phone died while he was giving me directions to Alexs'... for frigs sakes. Yeah, we crashed this fondu party that he and his friends were having. I've never had fondu before, it was pretty good! We had cheese and chocolate. And they had this silly rule that if you dropped your food in the thing, you had to kiss the person to your left. Erik, on my right, lost the most, haha. But we figured kisses on the cheek were ok, because Erik was to Tavis's left, and there were 4 girls beside each other, lol. It was fun tho.. I'd met everyone before except Alex and Marina, who's house it was. Alex is Dave's ex, and her and Marina are both from Canmore. We were planning on staying the night in Calgary - Alex offered their place - but we ended up leaving at like 11:30. Even tho we'd put all this thought into staying, hehe. We bought some Axe deoderant, a toothbrush to share, underwear, lol, and of course, some champagne glasses and some port. Ah well...

We had bible study at our house last night.... someone said that if we had it there, then I would have no choice but to go... Ha! Foiled them :) But, I'd invited James, and then wasn't there, so ... hehe... maybe he didn't show up. He was invited to the fondu party too, but didn't come to that.
Anyway. I finally got a down comforter. I LOVE it :) Yay for Ikea.

Dolphins nap with one eye open.

Last night we were all hanging out in my room, and Dave tucked us all in :) Melissa and Rach were wedged in the space between the bed and the wall, tee hee. Tee Hee!!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Jack Johnson doing the Curious George soundtrack? What, what, what?? Yes, it's true. And it's awesome. An awesome cover of the White Stripes' 'We are going to be friends'. Ch-ch-check it out!

I finally made it in to Calgary. Only took me two and a half months or so... oops. I went on the bus right after work - it was an hour and a half late - Dave picked me up, and I stayed Sunday night at his place. He schooled me at Mortal Kombat...altho I won the first one. Beginners luck. Also, he talks in his sleep, in both French and English. I didn't know that was possible, haha. And I've finally found someone else that covers their face when they sleep!! I'm not alone anymore :) Only, he uses a t-shirt instead of a blankie. Oh well, odds the difference.

Monday I went to the Haag's. Karen, Cathy and I went shopping, then I fell asleep on the couch. Karen and I, along with Melissa - a girl Karen works with - walked forever on 17th Ave, shopping-ish. Most things were closed, but I got the Curious George soundtrack the day before it was to be released, so I was happy :)

Tuesday, Cathy and I went to Wal-Mart, and went for a nice long walk on Nose Hill. It was super windy, but oh so warm. Dave picked me up, met all the family, and we went to his house for supper. Watched some Southpark, then off to Salsa dancing!! I was pretty iffy about that, but it turned out to be a lot of fun!! There was a lot of people, and it was a beginners class, so I wasn't completely lost. Dave is pretty good at it, tho... not sure why he's taking a beginners class. I mostly danced with random guys and a few girls, since there weren't enuf guys. Didn't dance with Dave much, and he seemed a little upset about that, lol. It wasn't how he 'envisioned' it. Him and his expectations. I told him we could dance together this weekend when he comes to Canmore :) Anywho, I need a nap.
