So, Christmas was awesome. I was a little worried coming into it, but I didn't miss home in the least. Sure, it would have been nice to see all my family, but there's many years to come when I can do that! On Christmas Eve we went to the service at church, and then went to Michaels and hung out until about 11. Most of the people went skating, but I stayed and talked with Michael. Pretty much told him my life story, lol.
Christmas day, we got up and opened our presents before Rach and Joy went to work. Then I, of course, went back to bed. Rachael, Joy and I walked around Canmore for a while. It was practically raining. There is barely any snow. Oddly enough, it's gone on the lawns here before the roads, complete opposit of home. What's up with that?? Bare lawn and icy roads? Melissa made a big dinner for us, it was awesome!! And, 5 days later, the dishes still sit on the counter. Bah. Anywho, we once again went to Michael's, and played Cranium and Balderdash until some time after midnight. It was a pretty good time. I still have no imagination. The only votes I got in Balderdash were pity votes from Joy. Frig.
And again we went to Michael's on Boxing Day. See a trend?? Only, Dave invited us this time. And as it turned out, the guys played Risk in the kitchen and we sat in the living room and played poker. (We could do that at home, guys.) We ended up leaving once Annik and Shannon came to join us. Had a girls night thing, where we talked about the guys, haha. Take that suckers.
Tuesday was the only night in the past week that we haven't done something. It was actually kind of nice to sit around. Dave was going to come over but he cancelled cos he was too tired. But he showed up last night. Isn't that right, Dave? :) He said that if I taught him Texas Hold'Em then he'd teach me pool. Only Rachael and I were home, so it was ... a small game :) But once the other two got back Melissa joined in. We played until 1 or 1:30, and then we had this huge discussion about crap. Dave seems to think that girls don't do that. That and trying to see if Melissa's pirate ship would float kept Dave here til prolly 2:30. And we all had to work today.
Speaking of which. I had the worst room ever today.. It was disgusting. Basically they had a pizza/beer/sex party in there. That's all I'll say. Oh, and the shower cap was on the smoke detector on the ceiling. Interesting.

Almost Christmas :)

So I got up today at about 4pm, lol, after going to bed at 7:30am. That's when Dave left. He came over about 12 hours before that. :P It was funny because right after he got here, Andrew called Dave's cell to see if he was coming over, and he said no cos he was at our house, and then prolly 10 or 15 minutes later, Andrew called the house and was like "Hey what are you guys up to tonight?" Tho he'd just talked to Dave and KNEW what we were up to. So Joy was just like... do you want to come over? lol. So Andrew and Michael came over for awhile. It was pretty fun, we watched a movie and then had this big politics talk that I tuned out, and some other interesting conversations. And of course, Michael and Dave made fun of me. Michael and Andrew left at 11 or so, and I thought Dave was going to go too, but he, Rach, Melissa and I ended up staying up all night, while keeping Joy awake a lot, and they all had to work today :P I, on the other hand, did not :) Dave is a pretty deep thinker, as is Melissa, so we had some pretty in depth conversations. Too hard on the head for that time of night. But the time 4 rolled around we pretty much watched the clock. Rob had had the latest stay at 4:50am, but Dave has now beaten that. We had lots of fun, despite all the getting made fun of :P
Anyway.

It's almost Christmas!!!!! It's Christmas Eve Eve, haha. I had today off, so I have 4 days off in a row over Christmas. Too bad I didn't know before hand so I could have gone home :( Oh well, we're going to have an awesome Christmas, I just haven't figured out when or how I'm going into Calgary yet. There's so much going on here that I have to work around. Frig.
Anyway, we had a Christmas dinner at the church in Banff last night. They had to drag me there, and I didn't want to leave once 11 o'clock rolled around. Haha the tables turned and it was Joy wanting me to leave, instead of the other way around ;) It was tons of fun. Although I don't think I've ever been made fun of so much all at once in my entire life. We sat with Michael and Dave. I've met Michael before, but Dave I've never seen, he's only home for the holidays from university. He's a pro downhill racer which is pretty cool. Anyway, right off Michael started making fun of my accent, so that went on for awhile, and then Dave came over, and Michael immediately was like, listen to her accent!! Dave is completely french, but is lucky enough to have no accent. But anyway, Dave started making fun of me too, so for the next 2 1/2-3 hours they made fun of my accent. Every word that I said funny they'd repeat and laugh, and then mock my when they were talking by trying to talk like I do. Dave was saying how it's hard to keep languages straight, especially the Swiss, who speak four. Then they started on about it must be hard for me to keep my languages straight, Indianian and Canadian. Do I sometimes have a hard time remembering my words??
THEN I made the mistake of telling them about our Christmas Tree Adventure. See.. we just went out in the woods and chopped a little baby down. It was in the bushes getting choked out, so it prolly would have died anyway. BUT.. it was on the town of Canmore's property, and we're not allowed to just go cutting down trees. And Michael works for the town, haha. Anyway, the next forever was the three of us arguing about why I shouldn't have cut the tree down. And being stubburn as I am... I just wouldn't give, haha. Even tho I was like, I know it was wrong and we're not allowed to cut the trees down, but who's going to notice! It's so small!!! But they were all like... defending the tree and crap, and I'm like it's not like it's going to know. Besides it's very happy to be our tree. lol It was a long argument and really no one won. Well, they would have if I'd only given up. But I didn't :) I even invited them over to see it :P Finally I was just like, I know we weren't allowed but I don't feel bad and I'd do it again in a second. At that point Michael walked away, but Dave kept on about it all night, haha, relating stuff to it cos I would get so worked up whenever he mentioned it.
Rachael and I played an exciting game of chess, hehe. She just learned this summer. Dave and Melissa were helping her, but I won anyway. Dave was putting too much thought into what my moves might be trying to do, so I think it just confused her more. I never plan out more than a move or two at a time, lol, it depends where she goes, I just wing it as I go along really. I love playing chess :)

Calvin says blogs are very self centered. Well I guess I'm a selfish person. Haha.

Everyone likes music. I go through phases of really liking a certain artist for a while before moving on to something else, but I generally come back to them again after awhile. Right now I'm onto and back to Jason Mraz and A Perfect Circle. Two completely different sides of the music...scene... but, both very good :) I suggest listening to some Jason Mraz. Especially his acoustic stuff.

Ahh, 21... I feel old age setting in. Is that a grey hair I see?? Soon I'll be a old hunched over old lady with a cane, scaring little kids. Nothing more than a normal day really, except for the phone calls I got :) First time anyone other than mum or Dave has called for me!!! Well from home anyways. Anywho... Rachael and I deep cleaned today, and.. that was exciting, haha. We were both so tired that we took our sweet time.
I'm so glad Rachael is back :) We went into Calgary to get her at the airport. Myself, Melissa, Joy, and Joy's friend Rashelle, whom I met for two seconds once. We met up with James(Epp) at Chinook, shopped for awhile, then went to Moxie's for supper. We had to wait for half an hour to be seated. At one point I was like, "I think we'll be in soon, there's a ship load of people coming out," and they all looked at me like... 'what did you say??' lol.
So anyways.. Moxie's was good. James said that if I got the 'X-Treme burger' and ate it all then he'd buy. So... I did, and I did!! It was... big. Two inch-think patties and bacon and cheese and so on. Wow.. it was... big. I had to cut it up in pieces to fit it in my mouth. By the last few bites, I wanted to hurl. Way too much meat... bah. But as soon as I was done I was like... mmm fries :) hehe. and THEN... Joy had told the waitress that it was my birthday, so they brought me this awesome ice cream and brownie desert, with a sparkler on it, and James, Joy, and Melissa sang happy birthday to me :) Only problem was the sparkler was shooting sparks in my face, haha. And I have only like two minutes to suck it down, because by that point Rachael had already been waiting at the airport for about 20 minutes.
We went off to the airport to get Rach. Then off to Wal-Mart. Tho there were six of us in the car, so I layed across Melissa, Rach and James' lap in the back seet, while James tried to throw my shoe out the window, bit my foot, and stabbed me with a Rememberance Day Poppy. Ahh the abuse.

Joy made me a nice big chocolate cake :) mmmmm sooo good!! And, we went out in the woods tonight and chopped down a tree :) Definitely the Charlie Brown type. I'll put pictures up when I get unlazy.

What?

So... another Sunday down. Sunday is the busiest and worst day at work. The only thing that gets me thru it is knowing that I have the next two days off. Well.. ok.. it's not that bad. And I'd get thru it anyway. But, by Sunday the purple spray kills me. This week, I only worked two days! Yesterday and today, that's it. I had three days off. One because I was sick, one because I faked sick, and one because it was slow and Ruth told me to go home. Whoo hoo! Also, I didn't sleep for two nights in there. Honestly. I'm afraid I'm becoming a bit of an insomniac. The first night I layed awake all night cos I felt like crap, but the second night, no reason at all!! ... well.. ok, I was really mad at a certain someone who will remain nameless (Calvin!!!!!), and I couldn't sleep. So... two nights of laying wide awake. If you've never done it, let me tell you, it's not fun. I watched a bunch of X-Files episodes, and finally at 10 am fell asleep. The following night, I slept on top of my blankets upside down (with my head at the foot of the bed) and slept like a baby :) And I've been doing it ever since.

Not much else to say. Christmas is coming, fast. Kind of scary. Well not really. I'm really excited to be away from home, but at the same time.... I keep talking to my friends, and they're all sad that I'm not coming home :( And it sucks to think about all that I'm going to miss out on. And as Dave pointed out... who is going to keep them all in line?! No one!!! Horrible things can happen without me there to be the voice of reason!!! :S I hate to think about it. lol Ok that's it.

Toilet swimming

Today was interesting. We were doing deep cleaning, which I have very love-hate feelings towards. Joy and I were done the rest of the room while Rach was still working on the bathroom. I asked if the toilet was done, because I was checking stuff off the list, and I guess they assumed that meant I wanted to do it. Not really. But I did anyways. When we were taking the toilet seat off, Rach dropped a rubber washer into the toilet bowl, and we were all like.. oh no. Joy and Rach argued for a bit, "You get it." "No, you." "You have gloves on!" So I just reached in and grabbed it... bare handed, haha. They're like, eeww that's the toilet! But it's just water. Anyways, a few seconds later, I dropped something else in, and just reached in again. Then I was laying over the open toilet cleaning the floor around in with a toothbrush (oh yes, deep cleaning is just that, deep and hardcore.) Anywho.. I was thinking, prolly most of my shirt was hanging in the water, but luckily it wasn't. Then I was just sitting there scrubbing the inside of the bowl with the brush, wasting time, and they're like.. "you really like that toilet don't you. You say you don't, but I think you're just trying to make us thing you don't."
That's my toilet story. Also, hanging in the hallway that leads to the staff dining room and laundry room and crap, is a sign for the guest laundry room. Usually when I'm alone I run and jump up and smack it with my hand. So when Rachael and I were walking down the hall, I got a good run and smacked it, but apparently really hard cos when I turned around it was just.... dangling there. By one side. Haha.. I knocked it off. We were both laughing like retards, and Laszlo was in the laundry room looking at us like... uh oh. Haha.. I'm like... "Laszlo!! Can you give me a hand??" hehe... And as usual, he just looks at us and shakes his head.
